Scholar Advanced Search

Save time by using Advanced Scholar Search. To access the advanced options, click the arrow (pull down menu) inside the search box.

You'll see options to search for an exact phrase, exclude search keywords, or to limit results to specific authors, publications, dates and more.

Set up Google Scholar to connect to Texas Tech Library resources

Easy steps to configure your Google Scholar account to connect our TTU subscriptions:

  1. Set your Scholar preferences to show your affiliation with Texas Tech. Go to http://scholar.google.com. Click the ‘Settings’ option.

  2. Click “Library links.” Search for Texas Tech. *Please note that a search for "Texas Tech University" will not return the needed option.* Check the checkbox for “Texas Tech Univ. Libraries – FT@TTULib.” If “Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center” checkboxes are checked, uncheck them.

  3. After saving your preferences, return to the search box on the Scholar home page and type text keywords. (If you click the down arrow in the text box, you will have more search options.)

  4. When the results appear, you should have a Fulltext@TTULib option that connects you to the full text of the article if we subscribe.
