Guide to help find resources on Media Strategies

Personal Librarian for Media & Communication

Hello, I am the personal librarian for the College of Media & Communication. Students, staff, or faculty are welcome to visit in person, by email, or by phone for any library or research questions.

So what do personal librarians do?

  • help with any questions you have about the library
  • help you find articles, books, and other resources
  • help you request materials through Document Delivery/Interlibrary Loan
  • help you create citations and use citation style guides
  • help distance students navigate library resources

Helpful Search Terms & Tips

Find books and other resources in Media Strategies.

These subject heading phrases, or topics, may work in Library Search and also in many databases which have a thesaurus function which can help you find similar terms. Remember to sort your library catalog results by 'publication date newest' to display the most recent items.

Use terms, such as these, in context of what you are searching within your area of research. For example: advertising history in America.

Use AND, OR, or NOT to limit results to include specific geographic areas, years, or other demographic.
