How the Search Works: The Journals A-Z search primarily looks for your keywords in the title of the journal and any descriptors (brief descriptions or keywords associated with the journal).
Understanding Partial Results: If a publication doesn't have your search terms in its title or a descriptor, you might get incomplete results. For example, imagine you're looking for a newspaper about your topic, but its title is simply "The Butterfly Effect," and it doesn't have [your topic] in its description. A search for [your topic] likely won't bring it up.
Strategies for Tricky Titles:
Search for the Exact Title: If you know the exact title (like "Bilingual Research Journal"), searching for that title directly is your best bet. Be aware that this will show you all records with "Bilingual Research Journal" in the title, which could include other publications with similar names.
Use the ISSN: Every journal has a unique International Standard Serial Number (ISSN). If you have the ISSN for the publication you're looking for, searching by this number is the most precise way to find it.
