Step 1. Installing Batteries

Note: The Timer / Remote Shutter is not equipped with a power switch

  1. Slide the battery chamber cover from the back of the Timer / Remote Shutter and insert two AAA alkaline batteries as shown.

Step 2. Connecting the Timer / Remote Shutter

  1. Turn camera off
  2. Check that TIMER ACTIVE and RELEASE indicators on the Timer are off.
  3. Connect the Timer to the camera
  • Connect to USB port on CANON cameras
  • Connect to GPS port on NIKON cameras
  1. Turn camera on and adjust settings according to the following chart (refer to camera user manual)

Step 3. Setting the Timer

  1. Use the DIRECTIONAL PAD button to change the timer settings listed in the following chart:

  • Press left or right to select, up or down to change
  • Press the SET button to complete the operation.

Note: When using autofocus, choose a timer interval at least two seconds longer than the camera shutter speed to allow the camera time to focus.

 

Step 4. Using the Shutter Release button

The Timer / Remote shutter release button works similarly to the camera's shutter release button.

  1. Press the button to open the camera shutter
  2. Press and slide the shutter button to the HOLD position to keep the camera shutter open
  3. Release the button to complete the exposure
