SONY Handycam Quick Start Guide

Step 1  Charge Battery

  1. Plug power adapter into electrical outlet
  2. Connect power adapter to DC IN terminal
  • ON/OFF (CHG) indicator lights red in color while battery is charging
  • Charging is complete when the indicator is extinguished

Step 2  Insert Memory Card

  1. Open LCD screen
  2. Make sure the camera is off.
  3. Open memory card slot cover.
  4. Insert the memory card into the slot with the label facing toward the camera lens.
  5. Close the card slot cover.

Step 3  Recording in AUTO mode

  1. Press LCD panel to turn camera on
  2. Slide lens cover switch down
  3. Press the START/STOP button to begin recording
  1. Press the START/STOP button again to pause/stop recording
  • The ACCESS indicator will flash occasionally during recording

Step 4  Playback

  1. Press the playback button to access video Playback symbol
  2. Look for the scene you want to play back
  3. Touch the desired scene to play it back

 

Step 5 Copy videos to a computer

  1. Connect the AC adaptor and the power cord to the DC IN jack of the camcorder.
  2. Power on the camcorder and connect it to a computer using the USB cable provided.
  3. Touch [USB Connect] on the camcorder screen to select the SD memory card.
  4. Use the computer to open the camcorder folder and copy the file(s) to the computer.
  5. After the operation is completed, touch [END] then [YES] on the camcorder screen.

 

Step 6  Delete videos

  1. Press the playback button to access video Playback symbol
  2. On the LCD screen touch Edit
  3. Touch Delete
  4. Look for the scene you want to delete
  5. Touch Yes
  6. Touch OK
