Describing resources and strategies for continuing lifelong research after graduating from Texas Tech.

Doing Lifelong Research workshop November 2025

Additional Information

If you are still in Lubbock, you can use the Tech Library as a community patron.

To access databases online only, check the East Service Desk and ask for a temporary eraider account.  If you are a recent graduate, check to see if your online access is still in effect.

To check out books, you can go to your local public library and request a Texshare card and take to the east Service Desk to get a temporary borrowers card.    If you are a recent graduate, check to see if your Tech ID is still in affect.

Note:  According to Access Services. how long you have online access or can use your Tech ID depends on when their information is purged by the ID card office. It might be 6 months or a year.  To be safe, I would assume it ceases shortly after you graduate, but then ask the East Circulation Desk to check your status.
