This guide is for undergraduates participating in the TrUE program.

New! **Research Strategies Initiative**

Earn a Certificate of Completion in Research Strategies. Jointly sponsored by Texas Tech University Libraries and the Center for Transformative Undergraduate Experiences, the Research Strategies Initiative allows undergraduate students enrolled in TrUE who attend eight of ten free workshops to be eligible to earn the certificate. The ten workshops include: Best Practices in Library Research, How to Do a Literature Review, Publishing Your Research, Poster Presentation Workshop, Managing Your Citations, Identifying Grants for Research and Project Funding, Managing Your Research Data, Predatory Publishing, Altmetrics, and Copyright and Fair Use. You can register for the workshops on the Texas Tech Libraries' website by clicking the Workshops & Events link on the right side of the screen.

Library Services

Check out these library services! Success Awaits at the Library

  1. Undergraduates may check out books for a three week period, with the option to renew them. Students may use open study carrels available in the stack and also reserve study rooms online on the Library's website.
     
  2. The Document Delivery (interlibrary loan) service pulls books from the stacks and provides materials the Libraries do not own at no charge. Request items via ILLiad.  
     
  3. The Libraries’ online resources are available from off-campus to all TTU students.
     
  4. Amazing technology is available including a 3D Animation Lab, Makerspace, Virtual Reality Lab, Crossroads Recording Studio, Digital Media Studio, hundreds of computers, printing, book/document scanners, and WiFi throughout the Library.
     
  5. The Digital Media Studio (DMS) loans loans DVDs, audiobooks, SLR cameras, HD camcorders, projectors, and lighting kits. The DMS is on the second floor (east side) of the Library.

The University Library has different study spaces to address your needs as an undergraduate student. Choose your preferred research environment from study carrels, group study rooms, collaborative work spaces, and quiet study floors.
