TTU Worldwide eLearning (Online & Distance Learning)

Books flying into Computer

The Texas Tech University Libraries wants anyone enrolled in the TTU Worldwide eLearning (Online & Distance Learning) programs to have complete access to all of the library resources, and utlize all of the library services that are offered.   

Each subject of study has a personal librarian assign to the subject. To locate your personal librarian, use the box labeled Subjects & Librarians to the left, browsing by subject or librarian. 

 What your personal librarian can do for you?

  • help when you have any question about the library
  • if you have a citation where you need to read the article, but don't know how to find the article
  • if you have an assignment that requires you to find peer reviewed journal articles, or any library materials such as a book on a specific topic
  • help you to locate and evaluate resources
  • help you locate the database for your research
  • help you troubleshoot when having problems accessing resources 
  • help you set up your Document Delivery / ILLiad  account
  • help you locate style manuals or style manual websites
  • help you understand copyright and fair use 
  • help understand managing citation software: Endnote, Mendeley, and Zotero.

Delivery of Articles & Books

eLearning students can request library materials through the Document Delivery department using ILLiad. Items are sent electronically or mailed to your designated address via FedEx. When creating the ILLiad account, please select "TTU Distance Patron (Faculty, Staff, and Students)" as the status in the drop down menu and give the street address you want to use as the delivery address. Electronic Resources

eLearning students can access Databases A-Z and E-Journals A-Z from off-campus, by using your eRaider username and password. When you click on a resources, and you have not previously signed in, you will be prompted to with the eRaider sign in screen. Once you have entered your username and password the resource will come up allowing you to run a search for the materials you need. 

 

TexShare

eLearning students may be able to borrow materials from libraries in their area through the TexShare Card Program. For more information, please visit the TexShare website, or contact the service desk at (806) 742-2265 or libraries.circulation@ttu.edu.
