David Rumsey Historical Map Collection
The collection was started over 30 years ago and contains more than 150,000 maps. The collection focuses on rare 16th through 21st century maps of North and South America, as well as maps of the World, Asia, Africa, Europe, and Oceania.
Digital Sanborn Maps 1867-1970
Founded in 1867 by D. A. Sanborn, the Sanborn Map Company was the primary American publisher of fire insurance maps for nearly 100 years. The maps provide a wealth of information, such as building outline, size and shape.

National Map’s Historical Topographic Map Collection (HTMC) provides a digital repository of USGS 1:250,000 scale and larger maps printed between 1884 and 2006.

Contains over 35 million images, texts, videos, and sounds from across the United States.

European cultural assets, through this one site you can search for artworks, cultural items, archival collections from participating institutions all around Europe. This site is a gateway, and once you have selected the items you want you will be redirected to the website of the institution that owns the item, and often these sites will not have English translations.
