Professional Associations

Professional organizations cater for the interest of its' bonafide members and are advocates for the public good. They provide an invaluable source of scientific information coupled with networking and training opportunities as well as career development support.

Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture
The Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture is composed of virtually all the programs of higher learning in landscape architecture in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. There also are individual and institutional members from many other parts of the world who belong to the CELA family. All members of the faculties from these institutions are invited to participate in CELA as are others who possess an interest in the academic practice of landscape architecture. CELA’s annual conferences focus on recent research and scholarship in all aspects of landscape architecture. CELA publishes the highest quality research conducted in the profession through its refereed publication, Landscape Journal.
American Society of landscape Architects
ASLA is the national professional association representing landscape architects in the USA and 62 countries around the world. Membership is open to all landscape architects as well as students and others. ASLA promotes the profession and advances its practice through advocacy, education, communication, and fellowship.
