A trade journal or magazine is a publication that targets a particular industry or occupation. These type of journals provide sources of latest business news and trends, new products and other topics of interest to those working in a particular industry.

How do I find trade journals or magazines?

In EbscoHost Databases

  • Choose the database that best suits your needs.
  • Enter your search terms in the search box.
  • Scroll down the page until you see "Publication Type." Select "Trade Publication" and click "Search."

In Nexis Uni

  • For best results use the Advanced Search option to do a NEWS search, then search by industry name, limit by date, and limit results to trade publications. Create a personal account to log in and save content.

In ProQuest Databases

  • Choose the database that best suits your needs.
  • Click on Advanced Search.
  • Enter your search terms, scroll towards bottom of page and select "Trade Journals."
