Scholar Advanced Search

Save time by using Advanced Scholar Search. To access the advanced options, click the arrow (pull down menu) inside the search box.

You'll see options to search for an exact phrase, exclude search keywords, or to limit results to specific authors, publications, dates and more.

Use Google Scholar to retrieve scholarly articles. Off-campus users should set their Scholar preferences to show they’re affiliated with Texas Tech.

Configure Google Scholar to connect to TTU Library Resources

  1. Set your Scholar preferences to show your affiliation with Texas Tech. Go to http://scholar.google.com. Click the ‘Settings’ option.

  2. Click “Library links.” Search for Texas Tech University Libraries. Check the checkbox for “Texas Tech University Libraries – FULLTEXT@TTULib.” If “Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center” checkboxes are checked, uncheck them.

  3. After saving your preferences, return to the search box on the Scholar home page and type text keywords. (If you click the down arrow in the text box, you will have more search options.)



  4. When the results appear, you should have a Fulltext@TTULib option that connects you to the full text of the article if we subscribe.
