The Chicana Latina Foundation is a non-profit organization that promotes professional and leadership development of Latinas. As the fastest growing population in California, Latinas are the future. Young, multicultural and entrepreneurial, by 2030, Latinas will make up the largest share of California’s workforce.

Chicana por mi Raza Digital Memory Collective is a group of historians, educators, researchers, archivists and technologists dedicated to preserving imperiled Chicanx and Latinx histories of the long Civil Rights Era. Started by Professor Maria Cotera and filmmaker Linda Garcia Merchant in 2009, CPMR has traveled to over one dozen states, interviewed more than 70 people, and collected hundreds of hours of oral histories and scanned archives for preservation and access. Using largely volunteer and student labor, CPMR pioneers a model for grass roots history creation that encourages further research into both Latinx studies and a model for grassroots digitzation projects. The overarching objective of the project is to provide broad‐based public access to oral histories, material culture, correspondence, and rare out‐of‐print publications for use in both scholarly research and the classroom.

Las Comadres Para Las Americas, a 501(c)(3) organization is an informal internet-based group that meets monthly in many US cities to build connections and community with other Latinas.

Latinitias is a non-profit 501c(3) organization focused on empowering girls to innovate through media and technology. We offer a variety of opportunities for girls to discover their voice, develop media and technology skills and build a solid foundation for their future.

Latinitas, an Austin-based nonprofit organization, is dedicated to empowering Latina youth using media and technology, providing direct digital media and technology training and esteem-boosting services to nearly 3,000 girls and teens across Texas annually, 2000 in Central and 1000 more in West Texas. Latinitas has since served over 25,000 girls and teens through after school clubs, weekend workshops, teen internships, camps and conferences at 112 Austin schools, libraries and community and cultural centers and public housing sites, equipping girls and teens of all backgrounds with a wheelhouse of multimedia production skills and technology training – from digital photography to robotics.

Chicana/Latina Studies: The Journal of Mujeres Activas en Letras y Cambio Social is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed, biannual flagship publication of Mujeres Activas en Letras y Cambio Social (MALCS). This feminist Chicana/Latina and Indigenous academic organization is dedicated to building bridges between community and university settings, transforming higher education, and promoting new paradigms and methods. Tejana Historias: Indigenous Indentions & Transfrontera Transfrontera is a visual repository, which disrupts the prevailing historiographies and periodizations that flatten our comprehension of Tejanas and their narratives. Along with the burgeoning arena of Tejana Studies shaping this educational website, we are also indebted to the paradigms and methods from intersectional feminisms, queer theory, critical race theory, and digital humanities in shaping its content.
