Many basic and advanced features to help you assess student work and share feedback with them all in one place.
When you create assessments and gradable tools, a column automatically generates in the Grade Center. From here you can add basic scores, grade from a rubric, add voice comments, type feedback, exempt assignments, offer extra credit, and more.
It is also possible to integrate external course resources from publishers such as Cengage, Pearson, McGraw-Hill (quizzes, assignments, etc.) that will automatically feed into Grade Center as well (recommended to activate this functionality).
Some features are necessary for automatically feeding running total grades into Strive, see that section above for details.
Below are other general set-up guides and features for using Blackboard.
Blackboard offers a rubric tool that works in conjunction with the Grade Center. Once they are established in your course, you can easily and objectively grade student work using the rubrics right in Grade Center.
Rubric templates were created by a team of faculty and are designed for you to adapt and adopt for assignments that feature written and oral English-language communication:
Follow these instructions for importing a Blackboard rubric into your course. You can do so with your own rubrics that you create or start with a provided template. Authorized TTU faculty can access these templates through a shared drive.
